Anita Anand’s Journey: From Journalist to Bestselling Author

Anita Anand, a renowned BBC journalist, has made a name for herself in the world of literature. Born in London to Indian parents, Anand’s passion for writing and reporting began at a young age. She graduated from King’s College, London and pursued a career in journalism. Her dedication and hard work paid off as she became a familiar face on the BBC, anchoring and hosting a variety of shows. However, Anita’s true calling was in writing, and she decided to leave her successful journalism career behind to pursue her dream of becoming an author.

After years of researching and writing, Anita’s first book, “Sophia: Princess, Suffragette, Revolutionary”, was published in 2015. The book tells the inspirational story of an Indian princess who became a leading figure in the British suffragette movement. The book received critical acclaim and was shortlisted for the Waterstones Book of the Year award. Encouraged by her success, Anita went on to write her second book, “Koh-i-Noor: The History of the World’s Most Infamous Diamond” which became a bestseller. Through her writing, Anita has shed light on lesser-known but significant historical figures and events, bringing them to the forefront of public attention.
